The fact that over 300 prophecies came true proves that God is its author, because only God can truly prophesy. The Bible was written over a 1600-year period by 40 men in 3 languages without contradictions or errors. Also, the same theme, salvation of mankind, is consistently maintained throughout. Only God could produce such a book.
