What did Jesus mean, I am the Way, the Truth, the Life? John 14:6-11

Jesus is saying that the only Way to the Father or heaven is through Him. His words, the Truth, supply the only way to eternal Life with God. That means that since God decided to have no avenue of communication with mankind apart from the Word, then today mankind has no way to approach God except through believing and obeying the Word.
