#22 Question: How did you do on your 2023 resolutions?

Everybody is making resolutions for 2024. Would it be good to review how you did in 2023? Did you start something only to let it slide? You can do it in 2024!

One resolution that will benefit you all year and even further into your life is to attend worship services every Sunday. In addition, God expects it because He commands it, Hebrews 10:25:

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

Notice the language of the above verse. Your attendance at worship services will also encourage others.

A second benefit of attending faithfully is that you can obey the command to sing praise of God in song and give thanks in prayer, Ephesians 5:18-20:

“And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Worship of God is a sacred obligation of Christians. It will encourage you and others and be one of the ways you are pleasing God. Make attendance at worship services every Sunday a firm resolution for 2024. Then do it!

Never mind answering the question in the title. 2023 is gone. Make 2024 great by steadfast worship of God.
