God’s Intention, Genesis 1:26-27

This post concerns God’s intention in creating man as it applies to the LGBTQ movement.

God’s Intention discusses the relationships God set up in creation and what it means, Genesis 1:26-27. “God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness… God … male and female he created them.” Then, they were instructed to multiply and fill the earth. Note that God gave man dominion over the earth and everything in it for food. Man did not earn it.

God planted a garden in Eden and placed the man there to work it and keep it. A single rule governed Adam in the garden. He could not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil or he would die.

To alleviate loneliness, God created a woman from one of Adam’s ribs as a fit helper. God explained this relationship, Genesis 2:24. “… a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”

Note: God did not create a second male as a fit helper. God created a woman. God condemned Lesbianism and homosexuality severely in the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Genesis 19:24. Likewise, the Apostle Paul wrote that God gave up on such people, Romans 1:24-27. Note: God intended for people to procreate, an impossibility in LGBTQ.

Man’s appearance reflects God’s image and likeness. This doesn’t mean that the physical image of man showed how God looked. Instead, man would have some of the intellectual abilities of Deity, have the ability to form relationships, and show creative ability.

After sinning, Adam and Eve were driven from the garden to live in hardship till death.

God gave man rules to govern this life. For example, one of their children, Abel, worshipped by faith, Hebrews 11:4. When Cain and Abel worshipped, Abel obeyed. But Cain did not.

As time passed, people became so increasingly wicked that God used a flood to destroy everyone except Noah. Then, God established a covenant with Noah much like that established with Adam.

So, what did we learn?

1.In God’s intention in creating man was to give him His attributes and a woman as a fit helper.

2.God’s intention was never to make homosexuals and lesbianisms.
