Why pray for UNITY AMONG believers? John 17:20-25

It is the will of God the Father and Jesus that his followers be united in the same deep love that He and the Father experienced. Jesus prayed for this unity and gave an important reason for His prayer: “that the world may believe that You have sent Me.” Otherwise, confusion can reign in the minds of the hearer that Jesus came from God. That unity is still needed for the same reason: that the unbeliever may be converted.
