The book of Luke describes the birth, teachings, miracles, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus, the Messiah.

2.Widespread preaching, miracles, and parables in Galilee, chapters 4-10

3.Miracles and parables on the journey to Jerusalem, chapters 10-19

4.Jesus in Jerusalem: prophecy, arrest, trials, and crucifixion, chapters 19-23

5.Resurrection and ascension, chapter 24

 

Luke’s reason for writing: chapter 1:3-4, “…it seemed good to me also, having followed all things closely for some time past, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, that you may have certainty concerning the things you have been taught.”
