What misconception did Jesus correct about the man born blind? John 9:1-3

The disciples thought sin by the parents or the child had caused this physical deformity. Jesus said no, ‘in him the works of God will be displayed.’ That means God did not cause the blindness but chose to reverse this condition to show His power. Thus, this miracle teaches that physical deformity is not due to sin. Jesus was the spiritual “light of the world,” Jo. 8:12-20. By this miracle, Jesus also provided physical light.
