Why doesn’t Jesus condemn the woman caught in adultery? John 8:3-11
As a test of Jesus, the Jews brought a woman caught in adultery and asked if she should be stoned as taught in Moses’ Law. Jesus said, ‘Him without sin first cast a stone.’ One by one the Jewish accusers left until no one remained. (Moses’ Law stated that a witness must cast the first stone, Deut. 17:7.) Jesus, not a witness, said, ‘I don’t condemn you. Sin no more.’ Jesus didn’t stone her because He was not a witness to the act. But He called adultery a sin.
