Jesus said He wouldn’t go to Jerusalem and then went. Why? John 7:1-13

Jesus was always directed in His actions by God, the Father—see Jn 5:13-30; 8:29. He knew the Jews in Judea wanted to kill Him. However, His unbelieving brothers urged Him to go to Jerusalem to do His works and be recognized publicly. Jesus said His time had not yet come. This means that God had not yet directed Him to go. Later, God must have directed Him to go privately because He went.
