Why did some leave Jesus after the Bread of Life sermon? John 6:60-71

Some disciples stopped following because they were offended by the literal eating of the Bread of Life. Jesus had explained earlier, v.44-45, that coming to him involved hearing and learning. Now, He says his WORDS are spiritual and life-giving, v.63. Peter affirms that Jesus had the WORDS of eternal life. This means that faithful disciples not only believed Jesus’ WORDS, but also that He was the Holy One of God.
