Why quote Psalms 22:18 about Jesus’ clothes?  John 19:23-27

The Romans gave the clothes of those crucified to the soldiers. By casting lots for Jesus’ clothing, they fulfilled Psalms 22:18, a psalm in which David depicts his enemies bringing him down to death. Dividing and casting lots for David’s clothing would have been an unusual action by his executioners. This Psalm finds its ultimate fulfillment in the second David, Ezekiel 34:23-24 and predicts that Jesus’ death will be unusual.
