An Essential Belief to Be a Christian: Crucifixion- John 19:18-30

Jesus was crucified on a cross, Mk. 15:24-25; Lk. 23:33. Why is this important? The value of His death is that His blood cleanses us of sin, 1 John 1:7. To enter heaven we must be justified before God by His blood, Rom. 5:9. Paul writes that redemption from our sins comes through His blood, Eph. 1:7. From a sinful state we can be drawn near to God by His blood, Eph. 2:13-16. The shedding of Jesus’ blood is all-important for salvation.
