What did JESUS mean by ‘ABIDE IN ME’? John 15:4-11

‘Abide in Me’ was uttered by Jesus as He taught more deeply what the vineyard analogy meant. The word ‘abide’ means to persist, continue, accept. In order for His disciples to bear fruit they must continue to teach His words and so stay connected to (or  abide in) Him, v. 7, like a branch is connected to the vine. To continue in his love they had to keep his commandments, as He had kept the Father’s commandments, v. 10.
