What was important about the High Priest’s PROPHECY? John 11:49-53

As the council debated about what to do about Jesus’ miracles, the High Priest prophesied that it was better that one man die rather than the whole nation perish. God allowed truth to come from the mouth of the high priest: ‘Jesus would die for the nation and gather into one the scattered children of God.’ That happened in Acts 2:5-41 when Jews of seventeen nations were united by the first gospel sermon into the new church of the Lord.
