The Bible and OLD AGE #13 … EVERYBODY’S DOING IT… As we did as teenagers, in older age, we compare ourselves to others and their sins. Somehow our minds tell us that if they can, then I can, and surely God would not punish me, because on balance, I do more good than bad. So, I will be okay at judgment. This is weighing-scale thinking. NOT SO! See 2 Corinthians 5:10—we must all appear before the judgment seat… receive what is due…for what done in the body… good or evil. We cannot balance our good versus our sins. We must repent of all our sins and do good deeds instead.
